August Favorites

September has begun. That does not only mean that my little blog is now a year old - which I am still totally excited about - but also that it is monthly favorites time. During the last month I bought quite a lot of new beauty products and I have found some new favorites.

First up are my Maybelline Baby Lips. I have loved them for quite a while and while I was in London I also picked up another one that I can´t get here. I love the fresh and minty smell of So Mint and I think the packaging has the best colors. I think you can use any of the Baby Lips that you like as they are all just great.

When I was in London I also picked up Rimmel´s Stay Matte Powder that everyone is raving about along with Real Techniques Powder Brush. This is definitely my favorite combination right now. The powder actually makes my skin stay matte for most of the day. I have totally been missing out before I bought this brush. It´s just the right size and just so soft. I don´t want to use any other powder brush ever again!

I fell in love with body mists during the summer. My favorite one is Crescent Bay by Hollister. It´s just so fruity and it instantly reminds me of the beach and summer. I would say it is quite a sweet and heavy scent. Whenever I go into a Hollister it smells mostly like this body mist. The scent lingers around for a good four hours but as I don´t use a lot of it the whole bottle will last me a good while.

Recently I have been obsessed with Rizzoli & Isles. It is a crime show but it is different from other crime shows. I fell in love with every character on the show right when I started watching it in 2012. Especially Jane (Angie Harmon) and Maura (Sasha Alexander) couldn´t be more perfectly portrayed but really every character is extraordinary. I feel like this show almost never fails to make me smile even though it´s a crime show. It has its own comedy and I love it. If crime shows and comedy are your thing, you should definitely check it out.

Last but definitely not least I have been listening to Taylor Swift´s Shake It Off on repeat since the video was released. First I thought the video was quite strange but the more I watched it, the funnier it got and now I absolutely adore it. The tune was a earworm right from the beginning. It´s not what I expected from Taylor Swift but I am in love. This song puts me in a happy, dancy mood instantly. Also I have loved Ella Henderson´s Ghost. I just keep singing this song non-stop. I think there´s so much power and emotion in there. I love the accoustic version even more than the original one.

That´s it for last month´s favorites. If you haven´t seen it yet, I have a giveaway running to celebrate Blog´s first birthday. Make sure to check it out right here. I don´t know if it already works but by at last tomorrow night my blog will be at as I now own the rights for it - I am so excited about that!
