Nutella Cookies

Hi there internet friends.

How are you all doing today? Just remember that tomorrow the weekend is starting. And what is the best thing to do on weekends? Yup, chilling and baking. I was in a baking mood last saturday and made this delicisous Nutella cookies. I thought it would be unfair not to share them with you.

These are probably the second best cookies I can make myself. The best ones would definitely be my sister´s chocolate chip cookies. They are freaking awesome. Maybe I´ll show you their recipe one day.

You need:

200g Nutella
125 g Flour
50 ml Milk
30g Cacao Powder
20g Sugar
2 Eggs

First of all, preheat your oven to 175 °C and convection if you want to bake two trays in one go. For the dough you take the Nutella and the flour and try to mix it all together with a spoon. My tip is to sit down in front of your tv and to be patient. Maybe you also want to put the Nutella right in the sun for half an hour before starting this recipe. I took mine right from the cellar and it was no fun.

If you think that both ingredients are well mixed, add both eggs and mix again. The dough should be looking quite normal now. Put in the milk, the sugar and the cacao powder and mix it all up again. For all the mixing I used a normal tablespoon, but you can also use an electric mixer after the Nutella and the flour are mixed together.

Put baking paper on a baking tray and just pour the dough in your wanted size on it. How much cookies you will get out of this really depends on how big your cookies are. Plan in around 5 minutes for baking them. Always check with this needle trick if the cookies are done. Mine took around 8 minutes before they were ready.

For a change I also added a bit of a mashed banana to some of the dough and a bit of honey to another bit of the dough. Both ways also came out great, but I think I actually like the normal cookies more than my two experiments.

All in all, this is a really easy recipe that you can easily make while watching tv. It is also really fast and in no time you have a great and really delicious snack for watching tv or reading blog posts.

The Make Up Remover Battle: Nivea vs. Maybelline

Hi there internet friends.

My blog has been a bit more lifestyle recently. Fortunately, I just almost finished my Maybelline make up remover. I wanted to compare it to my Nivea one for ages now, but I couldn´t before I really did a long term test.

(Make up before)

In the left corner we have the Nivea Daily Essentials Eye Makeup Remover. It´s contender is the Maybelline Jade Eye Makeup Remover. The last one seems to only be available in Germany, but sure is very similar to the Maybelline Makeup Remover Eye & Lips.

Both brands offer 125ml of chemical wonder for 3,45€. On both bottles it says that the product is oil-based and that it can even take off waterproof make up. Additionally, both are ophthalmologistically tested. Nivea even promises that the product can be used with very sensitive eyes.

I have taken pictures after one swipe of normal eye make up and also did a special test with eyeliner on my hand.

The Nivea one is really great when it comes to removing normal make up though it didn´t get all of the eyeshadow off in one swipe. It didn´t get all the glitter off, either. But it removed my mascara (one coat of waterproof topped off with a coat of non-waterproof) very well. My skin did feel quite oily after using this. Though this product was made for sensitive eyes it burned slightly while using it. The worst thing about this is that both phases aren´t used off equally as you can see in the picture.

The Maybelline one didn´t take my mascara off as well as the Nivea one did. But it did remove the darker eyeshadow better. It also left a lot of glitter around my eyes and it did feel quite oily afterwards. But my eyes didn´t burn when using it. Also you can see in the picture that both phases are used off pretty equally. Though this one doesn´t seem to take off my make up as well, I feel like my eyes are cleaner after using this one.

All in all, I do prefer the Maybelline Jade Eye Makeup Remover. It might not be perfect and it sure doesn´t get all my make up off in one wipe, but it feels better on my skin. Also it doesn´t make my eyes burn and I can get more out of the bottle as both phases are used equally. I would always use a cleanser after using a oil-based make up remover.

My Face Monday #16

Hi there internet friends.

The sun is still shining and nothing can lessen my extreme motivation! No, seriously, I am in a good mood today. I am listening to `Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go´ all day. If that doesn´t represent my mood today I have no way to explain myself. Well, I am not going dancing tonight (cheeky little reference), but it´s Monday and that´s why I´m showing you my make up for today.

I will show you guys my face of the day every Monday. Mostly it will be basic make ups which I wear to school. It is a great way for me to maybe try out new things for school and you can get ideas for your make ups for work/school/etc.

Products I used:
Face -> Kiko Medium Foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15, Catrice Pime And Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof

Cheeks -> Boulevard Blusher
Eyes ->Maybelline New York Master Shape Brow Pencil in Soft Brown, Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow in 020 Gold´n´Roses, Catrice Eyeshadow in 340 Oooops Nude Did It Again!, Catrice Eyeshadow in 570 Plum Up The Jam, Maybelline Jade Rocket Volum´ Express Mascara Waterproof, Catrice Glamour Doll Mascara Waterproof
Lips -> Blistex Happy Lips in Mango, Boulevard Lipgloss

I don´t know why I went for lila today, but I really like it. Also it´s finally warm enough to take some photos outside without looking dumb in a big (but also very warm) jacket. I had to take this opportunity immediatly and I might have went a bit over board.

Last but not least for today, I need your help. I have done this kind of blogposts for weeks now. Do you like them? Should I continue to do them? I am also thinking of doing another weekly themed post on Mondays and I would like your suggestions for that, too. Just let me know if I should keep the My Face Mondays or if you´d rather read something else on Mondays.

Shine Bright

Hi there internet friends.

I don´t know how the weather is looking where ever you are right now, but the sun finally decided to break through here. On my way back home from work I just couldn´t drive through this cute little park and not take any pictures. Lucky me, that I had my phone with me.

I just love the sun! Though it is still quite cold outside, I now have the feeling that spring is slowly approaching. Not only I got super excited for spring today. I even saw a few people with sunglasses on. All I am missing is someone in hotpants.

You are probably sitting somewhere and laughing at me because I made a whole blog post about seeing the sun. I am a person that really cares about the weather. I am not joking when I am saying that the weather can change my mood. Please tell me I am not alone with this.

Those Damn Casting Shows

Hi there internet friends.

I have been crazy all day searching for a topic for this blogpost. Just when I settled down on my couch with a handful of chips and wanted to start watching tv this idea hit me.

by lil´_wizz, used with licence
For third week now I am settled on my couch patiently waiting for Germany´s Next Topmodel to start. I am sure there´s a version of this castingshow wherever you are sitting in front of your computer screen. I seriously don´t understand myself here. I hate casting shows and I hate fights and too much artificial drama.

Yet I am sitting here. Is it the pressure of society putting me in this place? Is it my secret addiction to all that drama or do I just really like to fuss? I am clueless. Whenever I am asked why I watch it, I always say that I really like the photoshoots and the clothes the girls wear. Also I think I can get a bit out of hair and make up inspiration from this.

I think I can honestly say that it feels relaxing to watch something so dull from time to time. I really love all my tv-shows, but sometimes they need a bit more thinking or they make me a sobbing ball of feels. To just fuss about dumb girls once a week eases my brain and my poor heart.

Do you watch any casting shows? And why or why not?

D.O.N.T. - A Mind Trick

Hi there internet friends.

I have promised myself to always be honest with you guys even with my bad behaviours. As I recall, I have been until now. I have told you about my nail biting and nibbling a few times before. It is still pretty bad and I am sick of it. I want it to stop.

For the last week I tried to catch myself nibbling and analyse why I even do it. I have come to the result that it has just become a habit and an obsession of sorts. I was not aware of how much I nibble. To even try to stop I have to make myself aware of it at all times of the day. Only then (when I am fully aware of it)  I can actively change my behaviour. That´s why I have now invented the D.O.N.T. concept.

It is a really basic concept. I have written "DON´T" on many post its and have been placing them wherever I spent a lot of time. For example, I write "DON´T" in my calender every morning, I have a post it planted on my favorite pen and one on my Ipad. I even wrote it on my hand today. Well, that might have been because school was a bit boring today.

The post its are supposed to always remind me to not bite my nails and to keep my hands away from my forehead. As far as I can tell you it has actually helped me. I don´t nibble as much when I always have it in mind.

"DON`T" stands for the "Don´t do this" just as simple as it is, but also for "Don´t Offer Nibbling Time". I know that both basically mean the same, but in a way it helps to have a deeper meaning for it. It´s like talking a secret language with myself.

I know that you might not be a nibbler or a nail biter, but I´d bet that you have a bad habit too (we´re all in it together). You can use this concept to get rid of other bad habits as well. You might not have a deeper meaning then or you have to fit the deeper meaning to your bad habit, but that´s not even really necessary. It is important to always remember what you want to change in your behaviour. Only this way you can change a behaviour.

Do you have any bad habit(s) that you want to get rid off? Would you give my concept a try?

Have a wonderful day

My Face Monday #15

Hi there internet friends.

I can´t believe how sunny it has gotten today. I love it (and I am totally over-excited)! I can´t even be mad at things that go wrong today. To be honest, I had a lot of fun (maybe too much?) taking pictues today for this posts. Also I can´t wait for the time when I finally get a good camera instead of this old thing that I am using right now. There are a lot of things I am excited for today, as you can see. Hopefully you are excited to see my face on this monday. (Ugh, I wan´t to throw up with that connection. Sorry, but you´re going to have to deal with that for now.)

What is a My Face Monday, you ask? Well, let me explain:

I will show you guys my face of the day every mondy. Mostly it will be basic make ups which I wear to school. It is a great way for me to maybe try out new things for school and you can get ideas for your make ups for work/school/etc.

(I told I had way too much fun.)

Products I used:
Face -> Kiko Medium Foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15, Catrice Pime And Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof

Cheeks -> P2 Beauyt Stories Bloom 2 Blush in 020 love
Eyes ->Maybelline New York Master Shape Brow Pencil in Soft Brown, Mac Eyeshadow in Texture, Boulevard Kohl Kajal in Brown, Boulevard Eyeshadow Quattro, Max Factor Kohl Kajal in 090 Natural Glaze, Maybelline Jade Rocket Volum´ Express Mascara Waterproof, Catrice Glamour Doll Mascara Waterproof
Lips ->Mac Lipstick Kinda Sexy, clear lipgloss

Today turned out to be a really harmonious make up. It´s all kind of nude/brown-ish and I really like it. Especially, I love the Mac lipstick. Not only for its quality and color, but also because it is quite subtle and I can easily wear it to school. Another plus point is how long it lasts even with eating and drinking I can go up to the fourth period without re-applying it.

Homemade Chocolate Cream Cheese Cupcakes

Hi there internet friends.

If you follow me on Twitter (@Following_Lisa) you have probably seen my picture of delicious cupcakes yesterday. Surprise, I made them all by myself. I am quite surprised that our kitchen is still standing. As much as I love baking and cooking I am very clumsy and I make a big mess. My mom didn´t kill me in the evening so I think everything was okay (?).

Anyway, I found this amazing looking recipe on Youtube, click here to watch it (it´s in German, I am sorry). I did change it up a bit, but let´s call that small improvisation out of laziness.

To make this delicious cupcakes you will need a dark dough and a cream filling.

For the dark dough you need:

200g White flour
60g Cacao powder
220g Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1 pinch Salt
4 teaspoons Nutella
5 ml Vanilla syrup
120 ml Sunflower oil
240 ml Milk
2 Eggs

For the cream filling you need:

230g Cream cheese
75g Sugar
1 Egg

Important step: Turn on your oven and preheat it to 190° Celsius (top/bottom heat).

Start off with the dark dough. Mix together all dry ingredients, then make a little scrape in the middle. Add half of the milk, the oil and both of the eggs and mix everything together. When you have created a smooth first dough, add the other half of the milk, the Nutella and the vanilla syrup. Mix all of that together, too.
Now we go one to the cream filling. Put everything together and just mix it. This is seriously the easiest dough and filling ever.

Do never forget to put cupcake cases in the muffin tray before adding the dough (very important!). I did this ones and let´s just say it didn´t end well. Then you can put in one and a half tablespoon of the dark dough as a ground. Add a half or one tablespoon of the cream filling on top of it and top it off with another one and a half tablespoons of dark dough.

Carefully put the tray in the oven and wait approximately 15 minutes. Do the needle test to see if the dough is baked ready.

I have to say that my cupcakes caved in after a few minutes out of the oven. I covered them with icing sugar to hide their ugly faces and that doesn´t affect the taste afterall.

They are really delicious and I can´t get enough of them. If you have an hour off next week, try them out. You will not be sorry and you will have some delicious cupcakes for depressing moments.

Have a wonderful day

Have You Seen This?

Hi there internet friends.

It all turned out good. Maybe I am overreacting a bit whenever something does not go as planned...but hey, that´s who I am. As long as it all ends good, there is no problem.

While tumbling around Tumblr yesterday I found some pretty amazing videos. Why not share some of them? I thought. So here I am writing some introduction for amazing talents, hilarious videos or songs/videos that inspired and touched me.

I can´t even believe that this is real. This is perfection on ice. Goldmedal winnerin Yulia is only 15 years old. I don´t even know what do say. I can skate some rounds, but what she does? Nope, I can´t even dream of doing that. Also she achieved that by working really hard since she was 4 years old. So it´s kind of inspiring.

In terms of Sochi you also have to see this advert from Channel 4. On one side it´s totally hilarious (yes, I did fell off my chair), but on the other side, it also has a serious note. I think that´s a beautiful way to wish luck to the contestants and share an opinion about the recent discussions.

I am pretty sure that you have heard of Betty Who through Tyler Oakley (If you need a link here, where have you been for the last years?). If you haven´t, check her out! These two boys did a cover of her singe "You´re In Love". They are both really cute and the left one is a really good singer. I can´t get his voice out of my head!

If we are talking about things that have touched me, we can´t get around The Fault In Our Stars. The book is so beautiful and the trailer is, too. I can´t wait for June to finally come around.

That´s what I have been up to this week. Hopefully, you will find some of those videos as awesome as I do. Maybe this brightens up the time until the weekend. Or they make it worse (speaking of TFIOS here)...

Have a wonderful day

My Face Monday #14

Hi there internet friends.

Wow, what a start into the new week. I already want to cry and scream and Valentine´s Day is not even here. Today was one hell of a busy day and tomorrow will be another one. I can´t wait (please, sense the sarcasm). Anyways, I shouldn´t let that out on you guys. You are always lovely and always here. Of course, I did a My Face Monday today when everything still looked quite good and I am pretty proud of it. I did use a few more products than usual and tried to put the focus more on my lips while also presenting my eyes and brighting them up.

Oh, damn, I forgot to explain again what My Face Monday was all about. Here we go:

I will show you guys my face of the day every mondy. Mostly it will be basic make ups which I wear to school. It is a great way for me to maybe try out new things for school and you can get ideas for your make ups for work/school/etc.

Products I used:
Face -> Kiko Medium Foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15, Maybelline Fit Me Powder in 130

Cheeks -> P2 Beauyt Stories Bloom 2 Blush in 020 love
Eyes ->Maybelline New York Master Shape Brow Pencil in Soft Brown, Mac Eyeshadow in Mulch, Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette, Boulevard Eyeshadow Quattro , Maybelline Jade Rocket Volum´ Express Mascara Waterproof, Catrice Glamour Doll Mascara Waterproof
Lips ->Kiko Double Touch 10 Hour Lipstick in 103

Do you think I did a good job? I do think that my eyes look quite bright. I also love my hair falling like that. Why doesn´t it do that all the time? To mention one good thing that happened today: I fixed my old camera and I can finally take better pictures. Yay!

I hope that your monday is/was better than mine.

All That I Own #2 - Nail Polishes

Hi there internet friends.

My blogpost yesterday (that I have written on friday and just forgotten to upload, shame on me!) remembered me of the load of nail polishes that I own. I thought I would give you an overview today.

1. Various Brands

These are the nail polishes that have no real group in my shelf. The one on the left is by Douglas and it´s called Maja 06; a beautiful color, but sadly it takes ages to dry especially because I need at least two coats. I have two samples of the Maxfactor Nailfinity nail polishes. They are called Onyx and Boji. I haven´t really tested them yet, but I think Boji is a beautiful color. I have talked about the two Boulevard nail polishes already. They still have amazing colors, but are really hard to apply evenly.

2. P2

I own the colors 190 Hold Me Tight!, 210 Eternal and 040 Fifth Avenue. I remember loving the bright pink one for summer. I would wear this all the time and I still think it´s a beautiful color. I also loved the red/pink one. But I don´t remember wearing the black one ever.

3. Essence

These are the colors 33 Just In Case, 70 Nude It!, 73 Princess Prunella and 129 The Boy Next Door. The left ones are older and practically were the first nail polishes I ever owned. I haven´t worn them in ages. I did wear the right one on New Year´s Eve. The new brushes are thicker and make applying so much easier.

4. Primark Beauty

The nail polishes don´t say what they are called, but I remember buying them as a pack and mostly because I liked the box they were in. What can you expect from nail polishes this cheap? I was quite surprised to see that the right one did actually last two days. I do think they have a good formular because they are easy to apply.

5. Manhattan

Interesting, these are only called numbers. So the left one is 10S and the right one 57U. I love the glitter one. This is absolutely amazing, it looks so gorgeous on the nails that I would wear this every day if I could. I didn´t even really remember having that red one, but I think I am falling in love with the color and I will definitely try to wear it more often now.

6. Kiko

I remember buying these, but I don´t think I ever really wore them. I have so many other nail polishes in almost the same colors that they were not really worth buying, but I did it anyway. As my sister owns a lot of Kiko nail polishes I can tell that they have quite a good quality and maybe I should wear them sometime. They are called 217, 365 and 240, by the way.

7. Catrice

All of these are amazing. I really adore this nail polishes. I think this (and Essie) is the brand that I wear most. I have the colors 030 my Café Au Lait At Nôtre-Dame, C02 Play It Blue, 915 George Blueney, 740 King Of Greens, C03 Love, Peach & Harmony, 560 Rusty But Sexy and 070 Caught On The Red Carpet. My absolute favorites are the peach one, the orange one and the dark blue one. They have such a beautiful shimmer.

8. Essie

These are Cute As a Button, Jamaica Me Crazy, Angora Cardi, For The Twill Of It and Dive Bar. The only thing that I can tell you is that I don´t love the pink one as much. The rest is purely amazing. If I had enough money I would probably buy all the colors. They have the perfect texture and the perfect brush for applying them evenly. Plus, they do last pretty long for a nail polish.

9. Top Coats

The Boulevard one is as hard to apply as the other two Boulevard polishes. The Manhattan Pro Shine Base Coat is a really good one and it dries really fast.  The Essence Studio Nails Better Than Gel Nails is one of the best top coats ever. It´s really cheap, but it dries so wonerfully fast and really seals the original polish. I only use the P2 Anti-Split Coat when I have a feeling that my nails will split and I think that it´s doing a good job especially when I just wear this polish.

As you can see I own a lot of polishes that sadly, I can´t wear as much as I want to (damn it, work!). Also most of the colors I own are pretty dark and blue-, nude- or red-ish, but I do have some bright colors.

A thing that I noticed because I decided to write this blogpost is that some of my nail polishes are almost dried out. I had to add a bit of nail polish remover to some to apply them. This is a big reminder for me to wear nail polishes more often.

I would love to buy more brighter ones for summer and spring this year. Maybe even  try to connect this with wearing more bright lipsticks. Wouldn´t that look cute?

Have a wonderful day
