New Year´s Eve OOTN

Hi there internet friends.

Do you even know that my day is already almost over when you probably start reading my posts? You are asking yourself why this is important, aren´t you? Well, you shouldn´t think I am crazy when you read this: I spent almost the entire day today getting ready for New Year´s Eve.

Dress (+belt) - Primark; Tights - H&M; Jacket - New Yorker; Shoes - Tamaris

Rings, Necklace, Bracelets - Primark; Earrings - H&M, Sixx

Kiko, Catrice, Manhatten, Maybelline, Boulevard

And this is how it looks all put together:

I am not even kidding. I got up around 11 am and then had breakfast, did some online surfing, died my hair, went to have a shower, watched a bit of tv, got dressed and did my make up. I can´t even begin to tell you how relaxing this is. Try it, just try it. It is so much fun!

What I wanted to show you in this post is my outfit for the party tonight. Because I think 2014 can be a new start for me I am welcoming this year with my finest look. That´s also the reason I went into town yesterday to do a bit of shopping for my make up. Maybe you still have no idea what to wear tonight and in that case I hope I can be a bit of an inspiration.

New Year´s Eve is probably the only time you can wear so much glitter and be way overdressed for an evening and still get away with it. I love this feeling. Oh, by the way, I actually laid the stuff I needed to get ready out like that. Not just only to show you, but for me really. I think having it organised like that makes it easier to get ready.
I am quite happy with the outcome. I think this is appropriate to say hello to a new year and a new start. I am still wishing for a midnight kiss, but that dream won´t come true. Or maybe my outfit will help me with it. We´ll see.

I wish you all a great evening with your family or your friends. Have a lot of fun and let 2013 go with a bang!

Have a wonderful day

2013 Review

Hi there internet friends.

I know it is monday and that would usually mean a My Face Monday, but I won´t do that today for two reasons.
Reason number 1: I am too lazy to really do my make up today. I am not going anywhere really and I don´t see the point in stressing my skin for nothing. If I hadn´t had another idea for a blog post I would have done My Face Monday, but I do have another idea.
Reason number 2: There are too less days between Christmas and New Year´s Eve. I have two little ideas for blog post that I want to upload before the new year comes and so My Face Monday has to wait a week. (By the way, this blog post is one of the two)

Instead of showing you how I have not done my make up today I thought it would be nice to give you a brief review on the last year. But I won´t tell you every story. That´s just way too boring and not worth reading. Additionally, it would probably be a whole novel.

But I found this little thing on Tumblr the other day and I thought it was a cute idea. I don´t even know what it is called, but it is a list of things people have or haven´t done in the last year and you mark the ones you have done as bold. I think the idea is clever and maybe a bit more creative and worth reading.

Since the start of 2013 I have:
Gotten a new piercing.
Dyed my hair.
Ended a relationship. Started a new relationship.
Been on a long car journey.
Passed an exam.

Cried on someone’s shoulder.
Had a massive fight with a boyfriend/girlfriend.
Received flowers.
Had a Valentine.
Written a letter using pen and paper.
Gone to see a therapist.
Been prescribed medication by a doctor. (nothing bad, just some usual things I always ged perscribed to help me with my skin)
Read a really good book.
Gone to the zoo.
Spent too much money on unnecessary things.
Traveled by train.
Cried over someone.
Spent a day out in the sun getting a tan.
(Most of my summer holidays, but I never get a real tan...)
Slammed a door out of frustration.
Had an anxiety attack.
Had a BBQ.
Gone to the fair.
Gone bowling.
Seen a film at the cinema in 3D.
(Omg, can anyone believe how amazing Frozen is?)
Gone on a date.
Been (the only) sober (one) on a night out. (my best friend wasn´t really drunk, but she never drinks much and I was the only one not drinking anything)
Helped someone home after they’d had too much to drink.
Stayed up all night.
Talked on the phone for over 2 hours.
Supported someone who’d received bad news.
Watched some kind of live sporting event.
Read an entire book in one day.
Bought a DVD the day it was released.
Eaten McDonald’s more than four times in a single week.
Cried as a result of exam stress.
Met some incredible new people. (Can I double bold this? This was so important for me this year)
Fallen backwards off a chair.
Broken my glasses. (Just on friday evening)
Cried over someone in my past.
Spent hours aimlessly browsing the internet.
Thrown up.
Cried over a film.

Gone out of my way to avoid an ex-significant other.
Fought with someone in public.
Been in a relationship for a year or longer.

Well, as you can see I commented on some things a bit more to add a bit of information. I really liked doing this (mostly because I didn´t have to write a whole novel about my last year). Hopefully, you like the idea of this.

You can also see from this list that the most things I missed out on are based on having a relationship or a love interest or something like that which I never had yet. That does make me kind of sad, but I am a girl that can stand on its own feet and that doesn´t need anybody else. I am pretty happy the way I am.

I will actually see you guys again tomorrow for a little haul and my party outfit for that I will go shopping in a minute. See you guys then.

Have a wonderful day

Goodbye 2013!

Hi there internet friends.

There are only three days left in 2013. It´s time to look back on the year. Was it a good one or more of a bad one for you? How do you say goodbye to 2013? Are you happy to start all over in 2014 or would you prefer staying exactly like this.

Well, for me it is kind of both. I´ve had some bad experiences, but some great as well. Nevertheless, I am very grateful that 2013 is almost over. I could really use a new start and what better time than a new year? But I really want to make it right this time. I don´t just wand to say that I am starting over. I really want to do this. I´ve come up with a good plan, I think.

First of all, I will make a list of all the bad experiences I´ve had throughout the year 2013. What things did go wrong? What mistakes did I make? What could have ended better? I am pretty sure that this list will be pretty long, but I don´t care. Thinking about it can make things better. Failing my drivers test will be one of the things on that list.

Then I will also make list of all the good experiences I´ve had. What things did come out pretty good? Which things do I want to keep in 2014? What want I to be reminded of when I think about 2013? A list like this can be a great thing to remind myself of the good things that happened. Starting a blog will definitely be a point on that list. I love blogging.

I was totally motivated to do a good start last year as well. Therefore I made a list with some New Year´s resolutions at the beginning of 2013. I will take this list with me to the party as well. To just tell you: I haven´t crossed off any of those points.

I hope you understand that I won´t show this lists in their full lenght. It´s kind of private and you shouldn´t be stalkers enough to care about them. My plan is now to take all the three lists and a lighter. When the clock strikes midnight I will take out the list with the bad experiences and the last resolutions and burn them. This is pretty symbolic for letting them go and to stop worrying about them. But I can´t just start over with nothing. Somehow that´s not possible for me. So I hope that this will make things easier for me. Maybe my mind can let go when it sees those papers burn.

As soon as I am home then I will put up the list full with great experiences and hang it up somewhere where it can remind me of good times when I am a bit sad or worrying about the past again.

Well, that´s my whole plan this year. I will let you know if it actually helps. I am really excited to do this. This feels like a big step for me and I would really like a big step like this. Maybe I can really let go after this.

Have a wonderful day

Winter Wonderland #3

Hi there internet friends.

One last time I have a Winter Wonderland for you. I know that Christmas is already over, but it´s still winter, isn´t it? And the pictures I took look way better than the grey clouds I´ve got in front of my window. I think this could cheer us all a bit up (because I at least am always a bit down when Christmas is over) and maybe bring back a bit of that Christmas spirit for a last time this year.

isn´t this just the cutest little cup ever? It´s kitsch, I know, but still cute.

This is one big christmas tree!

Can you hear the sleigh bells ringing?

Oh, I should mention that I took this pictures in Munster. Funny is that I was there on sunday with my family and then again on monday with some friends. But the pictures are all from the sunday visit. My family is just more patient with me taking pictures.

It´s a lot of kitsch that I photographed, but somehow kitsch is totally okay when it´s christmas time. There´s no other time of the year that I like kitsch in. I don´t know why. My family has decided to call me crazy because of that... Hopefully you don´t do that.

Have a christmasy day (for the last time this year)

Advent Calender

Hi there internet friends.

I hope you have spent a lovely Christmas Eve yesterday. I am feeling not really well today and I don´t have a big giveaway for you guys (just remember that I started blogging in September!).  But I thought I´d share my overall opinion of my advent calender and the last two surprises with you.

Another eyeshadow quattro was hidden behind the 23rd door. This time it´s just nude colors. The a bit darker ones are a little orange and yellow. I have enough of this colors already and I feel like the quality of this quattro is especially bad. I wouldn´t really put those colors on.

This bronzer was the big surprise behind the last door. I was quite disappointed about that. The bronzer is not the worst quality, but definitely not dark enough. It has almost the same color as my daily powder and you can´t see anything when I apply this (except from the fact that I look totally cakey).

All in all I was disappointed most of the time. I don´t think buying this calender was really worth it. I have five favorites which are the blusher, the berry quattro, the lip balm, the black kajal and the sharpener, but I don´t really need the rest.

The quality is really cheap and the things are hard to get out of the carton. I think the thing that disappointed me the most is the big surprise behind the 24th door. I can´t do anything with this bronzer and that last door is all you work for the days before. There should be something better inside the calender there.

Also, as I mentioned on sunday the things could have been arranged better within the calender. A week that almost just serves you tools is not the real deal. And couldn´t there have been a cheap brush in there? Instead of the duo applicator, for example. I think this calender is more made for people who have no idea about make up and are just starting up.

Next year I will spent a bit more money and get a better advent calender that acutally makes me smile.

Have a wonderful (rest-) christmas time!

My Face Monday #8

Hi there internet friends.

I had almost forgotten about My Face Monday today because I was totally busy. We went ice skating and then on another christmas market. Seems like I have been to christmas markets for four times then. Pictures from this trip will follow on friday.

Can you believe that tomorrow is already Christmas Eve? (Well, for me it´s even more exciting because I can open my presents then). I tried out something a little bit more with my eye make up today. I didn´t have to go to school that makes things a bit more fun.
Oh, you don´t know My Face Mondays yet? Here´s a little explanation:

I will show you guys my face of the day every monday. Mostly it will be basic make ups which I wear to school. It is a great way for me to maybe try out new things for school and you can get ideas for your make ups for work/school/etc.

What's in My Advent Calender #4

Hi there internet friends.

How are you enjoying the holiday season so far? Just think about it this way: It's only like 80 hours until we all get to open our presents.
Nope, stop it Lisa, christmas is not about the presents, remember?
This is the last time I'm showing you what was in my advent calender, because in two days it's christmas!

The week started with this duo applicator for eye shadow. This is not exactly what I wanted. I love applying my eye shadow with brushes and I hate those applicafors. I always have hated them. My eye shadow just never looks good when I use these.

Can I just say how much I love this eye shadow quattro? Because I really do. It's alk berry and shimmery colors. They are pigmented way better than the others and I really like them  I have been thinking about getting a berry eye shadow for quite some time now.

The sharpener behind the next door is pretty great, I have to say. I have been steeling my mom's sharpener for a while now because I have been too lazy to go and get myself one. It's just a plain and simple black sharpener, but it works and I don't need more.

I don't really now what to do with this nail file. It looks just cheap and not really trustworthy. I think it might break when I use it.

The next day I was surprised when I found this lip balm.  It looked quite cheap and felt weird when I first tried it, but it's actually quite good. It hydrates my lips well and it lasts longer than I would have expected. And that's coming from a lip addict like me.

This plain top coat is what I got yesterday. It's nothing special and I own two top coats that are better than this one. The brush is just too tiny and the polish is too liquid.

What am I supposed to do with a nail pencil in white? I know that this might be as good as the kajals, but I just don't know how to properly use this. That's my biggest problem with this nail pencil. Maybe I'm just not patient enough.

This week was kind of disappointing except for the eye shadow, the sharpener and the lip balm. I feel like this week was almost just extra stuff and not really make up. That could have been arranges otherwise, couldn't it?

Also my calender started to do this:

As I am a total perfectionist it has really started to annoy me how badly the products are to get out of the calender. Most of the calender is already ripped and it just doesn't look good anymore.
But I hope you all are excited for tuesday!
Have a christmasy day
