My First Ever Sephora Haul

Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette; Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara; Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Nahz Fur Too; Sephora Lip Mask
One of the most exciting news I've gotten this year was that Sephora coming to Germany. Then I found out that they had already opened their shop in my new city. Just imagine all the squealing I was doing! Unfortunately, Sephora was not the first store I went to after my move - because I knew I needed some time for that. Almost two weeks ago I did finally go though and today I'm sharing what I bought and my first impression of these products!

Before we go into any details I have to apologise for buying two products by Sephora´s own brand. I had read somewhere a long while ago that they were cruelty free but my new research has now confirmed that Sephora´s own brand actually tests on animals. It was my own fault for doing bad research and I definitely know better now. Let's discuss those products anyways though.

The first thing that caught my eye was the Sephora Collection Shea Lip Mask. It´s basically a sheet mask for your lips. I didn't know these were a thing and I was super intrigued. It´s a very weird feeling though and you kind of have to lie down for it to work. It did hydrate my lips pretty well but nothing a normal lip mask won't be able to do. If there is a cruelty free version of this I´d be happy to try it out some more but I'm not too sad that I won't buy this particular lip mask again.

I also bought the Sephora Collection Pink Clay Mask which has this really cool packaging. Thanks to the lychee extract it smells really nice and the pink clay gives it that really cool colour (I'm just a sucker for pink, I can´t help it!). I did feel like it reduced the appearance of skin irregularities for a few days after using it but I definitely didn't have brighter skin or a glowing complexion afterwards. So again, it´s a very average product that does its job and if it wasn't for the fact that the brand tests on animals I´d gladly try out the other masks.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Nahz Fur Atoo; Primark Rosegold Eyelash Curler; Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

One thing I knew I wanted was a Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. I went with the shade Nahz Fur Too which is a gorgeous dark red. To my own shame I've only worn it once so far but I really like it. It felt very smooth and liquid when I applied it and it is insanely pigmented! It doesn't feel too heavy on the lips and is only slightly sticky. I also felt like it didn't accentuate the cracks in my lips as much as other liquid lipsticks do. I'm excited to wear this more and experience its quality more. I'm already tempted to go out and buy more shades though!

Because I'm very fussy when it comes to mascara I only got a tiny version of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara. This mascara has been talked about so much that I just had to try it out. I thought it might not work well with my straight lashes but it actually gives them a nice little curl and holds it pretty well - especially when I apply the first coat with my Benefit Roller Lash Wand or curl my lashes beforehand. It separates my lashes really nicely and gives them a volume boost which I really enjoy. Plus, it still looks good at the end of the day. I'm really impressed and have used this little mascara everyday since I got it!

Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette; Fresh Lilies

Lastly, my favourite purchase: The Too Faced Chocolate Bar. I had kind of crossed this off my wish list as I have many eyeshadows in similar shades. Well skip to me seeing this palette in real life for the first time and absolutely falling in love. It´s full of stunning shades that I´ll all use very regularly. There are thousands of raving reviews of this palette online so I won't bore you with the amazing quality of these shades. The chocolate scent is just a bonus and I think it´s the reason I've been craving chocolate lately. I'm absolutely in love with this palette and can't wait to use it a lot!

I stil can´t believe that there is now a Sephora 15 minutes from my front door - I could just go there and be in heaven every day! Sadly, they don't have the full range of Sephora brands right now but it´s still a great start. I absolutely love the three cruelty free products I've bought and they've made it into my regular beauty routines by now (well, I'm still working on the lipstick). I actually don't remember a time when I've worn eyeshadow this regularly and I think I love it even more now. I just love playing around with makeup and having a Sephora near me gives me more of an excuse to buy new products to play with.

What's your favourite cruelty free product from Sephora? How much time did you spend on your first trip to Sephora?
