The Spring Nail Edit

I know the beginning of spring technically isn´t until the end of the month but can´t you tell I´m in the perfect mood already? For me spring is like finding the light at the end of a long, dark tunnel full of uni work (I always have exams until the end of February, meh). In spring nature comes out of its hibernation again and with the sun coming out we say goodbye to dark colours and welcome back mint, green and pink. Yes, I do love spring! While I might be holding onto my trusty Rimmel Kate 107 for a dark lip, my nails are already transitioning into spring.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint // 19 Huckleberry  This is such a gorgeous baby blue colour with really just a lot of shine to it. Everyone and their grandma loves Barry M nail polishes and I have finally fallen for them. The only thing annoying me is the thin brush that makes application kind of hard for me. Besides that I can´t wait to wear this colour more.

Manhattan Last & Shine Nail Polish // 220 Princess Dreams  A good old baby pink is really the one colour screaming spring for me. This one is amazing because it gives your nail a gel-like shine with just a slight bit of shimmer in it. I´ve been raving about these nail polishes for months, so here´s the short version of why I love them: shiny, easy to apply and amazingly long-lasting.

Manhattan Last & Shine Nail Polish // 010 Paint It White  White nails just look effortlessly amazing and elegant every time of the year. I thought my holy grail of white nail polishes was one from Kiko but this one has taken its crown. Besides all the amazing things that come with this brand of nail polish, this colour is opaque in one layer. Yep, you´ve read that right: opaque in one layer. I couldn´t have fallen in love deeper.

Essie Nail Polish // Chillato  Of course an Essie nail polish had to be in my favourites. They are and always will be one of my favourite brands of nail polish. Their quality and colour range always wins me over. Chillato is from their Summer Collection, so I´m guessing it´s a limited edition but I really hope it´s not. It´s a gorgeous pistachio colour that just screams spring and summer for me.

Spring always makes me want to become more experimental with colours. Sadly, I´m not when it comes to clothes but my nails can have a party. Also spring makes we wan to go shopping more. It´s honestly like I´m coming back from my own hibernation of just wearing the same things over and over again. I already have spotted several other shades of nail polish in store that I definitely don´t need in my collection.

  1. I wish I was better at painting my nails but I'm just so rubbish they look so messy and chip within a day. But if I could wear nail polish then that baby blue colour just looks perfect for Spring and you never ever go wrong with white!

    1. I always think I´m so bad at it but I actually got a lot of compliments lately, so I must be doing something right, haha. I fell in love with the baby blue when I saw it. I think it´ll also be so nice in summer.

  3. I'm so excited to start wearing pastel nail polishes! Are the Essie nail polishes as good as Barry M? I tend to stick to Barry M polishes but I would like to try more brands!

    1. Me too. Honestly, I haven´t tried the Barry M nail polishes too much. I love Essie though and I can go about 5 days without worrying about chipped nails with them. So I´d say definitely try some Essie shades.

    1. I think it could be a while until it comes out in every store as it´s their Summer Collection but you should definitely be able to find it some time soon! I love the shade & have been wearing it for four days without any chipping now. So it´s great!
