Make Up Revolution Euphoria Palette

I can´t count how many bloggers have raved about Make Up Revolution before. I think I´ve read something about it on every blog I follow. As they haven´t brought out anything in Germany yet, I couldn´t really give into the hype until I finally found a website which sold their products (and for which I also had a voucher, so win-win!). Obviously I went ahead and ordered two of their products, one being their Euphoria palette in the shade Bare Euphoria. During the last few weeks I have fallen in love with this palette and I now can fully understand the hype around the brand.

With the palette retailing at £6.00 I didn´t expect much from the packaging. It´s sleek and simple, just how I like it. It does already have quite a few scratches on which is okay. The size of the palette is neither too big nor too small. It´s just really handy to pack up. Also I love the big mirror on the inside. In combination with the size that  makes the palette perfect for traveling. It comes with 6 eyeshadows in rose shades and three contour shades. The only thing I´d wish for was names for the different shades. I´m not a big fan of applicators, so I´ve thrown the one that comes with the palette out but that´s just a personal preference.

The Eyeshadows
The Euphoria Palette offers four shimmery shades and two mattes. From left to right there´s a cream white matte, a shimmery champagne, a shimmery rose, a pastel matte lilac, a shimmery rose gold and a shimmery dark lilac. I´ve found all of them to be pretty pigmented although the champagne/gold shades are stronger than others. Naturally the shades are quite light, so I didn´t expect them to be visible that much on the skin. There´s always the option of building the colour up a bit. Just be a bit careful with that as the shades might become a bit chunky after a few layers.

I was surprised that none of the shades creased or even slightly moved during a whole day even when I wore them on bare skin. The only reason I´d suggest to use some kind of base underneath (preferably a white shade) is to enhance the colours. These shades also blend really well. The matte shades are buttery soft and the shimmery ones just feel a bit chunkier. Still they blend and feel like a dream. I´ve also found the fine shimmer of the shades to be great for everyday wear. There´s almost no fallout when you apply them, so no mess to clean up afterwards.

The Contour
This side of the palette offers you everything you need to perfect your skin, from a matte contour over a pink blush to a champagne highlight. Both the blush and the highlighter are very gorgeous but also extremely shimmery. I don´t really think you need a highlight once you´ve used the blush but the highlight is also extremely nice to add a glow to your skin. Personally, I am not a fan of contouring my face, so I haven´t tried this shade out as much. However, I did find it to be as buttery soft as the matte eyeshadows. Again, these shades blend really well and last all day without moving or clinging to dry patches.

In general I am so impressed with the quality of all shades. Despite the hype around I wouldn´t have expected that for this price at all. Of course, the pigmentation isn´t perfect but it´s still great for the price. I´d definitely recommend this palette for traveling as well as for beginners as you can´t really do anything wrong with it. The contour shades will make your complexion perfect and add a nice glow for a sunny day. With the eyeshadows you can create many beautiful spring looks for day and night that´ll make your eyes shine.

  1. I like the look of the contour, blush and shimmer! I contour my face daily so would be good to have all three shades in one palette.

    1. I couldn´t believe the quality of this palette for its price. Obviously it´s not going to be perfect but therefore I can own many more different palettes for the same money as one expensive palette.
