Cheeky Haul

With my skin getting better each week I´ve found myself putting more effort into my base. The days where I´m using bright lipstick to draw attention from my forehead are mostly gone for good. Currently I´m loving to experiment with different cheek products to see what really fits me and my style of make up. I still haven´t figured out how to properly contour my face but blush and highlighter are going amazingly! Hence why I´m extending my collection of those. So today I´m sharing with you a little cheeky haul (haha, got it?) of cheek products I´ve recently bought.

Make Up Revolution Vivid Baked Blush in All I Think About Is You
Baked blushes are my favourite anyway and this one is especially gorgeous. It´s a very shimmery light pink with bright pink and brown strings in it. It gives a very healthy flush to the cheeks and makes highlighter almost unnecessary. It´s not the best pigmented nor the smoothest blush I´ve ever had but for its price it´s amazing.

Max Factor Compact Blush in 15 Seductive Pink
From a normal person´s point of view this one looks very similar to the Make Up Revolution Baked Blush but as a make up addict I can tell you it´s totally different. It´s only slightly shimmery and more of a dark, toned down pink. I think it´s as gorgeous as any light pink could be and it suits my skin tone even better. The quality is amazing; it feels so soft and smooth and doesn´t cling to dry patches at all. It´s definitely my current go-to blush.

Kiko Milano Multicolour Blush in 02 Blending Wave
This one is from their spring collection which honestly has the most gorgeous packaging! These matte blushes are two colours combined so that you can either use the dark or the light one or both together. Sadly, with the one I bought the dark part is pretty small. The colour is the exact middle from the two above. It´s a brownish light pink with an orange hint (look at me describing colours so well!). I love that it´s a matte shade for a change, so you can add a highlighter on top for everyday wear.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle
I wanted to treat myself, so I finally took the plunge and bought the one highlighter everyone keeps raving about and oh my god, I´m in love. It´s a gorgeous golden highlighter that just gives your face the perfect soft glow and makes you look like a goddess. As with Mac the quality is over the roof. I don´t think I´ve ever touched a shimmer shade that´s so soft and so blendable. Honestly, it´s a lot of money just for a highlight and I know it´s not cruelty-free but it´s been on my wish list for so long and I couldn´t be happier to have added it to my collection.

Summer can come now because I´m ready to get out all the pinks (also I´m looking forward to the hotter temperatures). I think I´ve got a great variety of pink shades now and I love them all for different reasons. Hopefully I´ll also improve on contouring and maybe there´ll be another haul up then (although my bank balances really hopes that´s not the case). If anyone got tips on contouring though, please let me know! All I´ve managed so far is making me look like a 12-year-old that´s trying out dark blush for the first time.

  1. The kiko one looks really nice! Love the colour, I love experimenting with blushes but there's not many that suit me!

    1. I know how you feel. I find that I mostly just suit subtle pinks and more orange/brown tones but not much else, so that´s why I like experimenting too.

  2. I huge fan of the Max factor blushes. I have one of the blending waves too (i can't remember the shade though). I don't really have any revolutionary tips for contouring - just blend, blend, blend xx

    1. The blending waves blushes are just gorgeous, aren´t they?
That´s the most common tip I get but so far it hasn´t really helped much with me. Maybe I have a naturally too slim face to really contour it, haha.

  4. Oh, I´m so glad that I finally got my blusher right but it did take me quite a while. So you´ll get there, I´m sure!
