Autumn Inspired FOTD (with a twist)

Autumn is really upon us now and that definitely calls for some red lip action. Since I am quite new to the red lip department and feel not brave enough to wear dark red shades, I opted for this brighter shade. I also added a bit of a twist to the traditional matte lipstick as it makes my lips appear fuller.

Products used:
Face -> Catrice All Matt Plus Shine Control Make Up, Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Cheeks -> Kiko Soft Touch Blush in 108, Topshop Glow in Polished
Eyes -> Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in 02 Brown, Mabelline The Rocket Volum´ Expresss Mascara, Max Factor Kohl Kajal in 090 Natural Glaze
Lips -> Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 107, Astor Soft Sensation Lipcolour Butter in 015 Cheeky Cherry

My little twist is not too obvious for the eye even though I think you are able to see it in the last two pictures. I gently applied a thin layer of the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick and dapped it into my lips to blend it out a bit. Instead of getting the dark red lip, I therefore get a really nice bright red. To add a bit of volume, I wanted to add a bit of gloss, so I went with the Astor Lipcolour Butter as it has a similar shade. Just applying this on top would have been very boring and would have covered up the lilac undertone of the Rimmel Lipstick. I only applied a generous layer of the Astor Lipcolour Butter in the center of my lips and blended it out with my fingers. It has this really nice effect that makes my lips look fuller but not covering up the lipstick under it. If you stand in the right light, it is a really pretty and unique effect.

Also I finally mastered an eyeliner with a wing and I couldn´t be prouder of myself. But I went with a brown eyeliner to balance out the bold lips. I really like this make up look and will hopefully be able to wear it again soon. I will also try to find the courag to wear the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick by itself as it has the most gorgeous dark red color.
