Meeting The Stars at Madame Tussauds

I can cross so many stars off of my bucket list and all thanks to a little trip to Madame Tussauds. Okay, I am kidding. I know their made from wax and their not real. It was still cool to see how detailed the stars were made. I was kind of scared that some of them would jump up and begin to move, that´s how realistic they were.

As we also went onto the London Eye and wanted tickets to the London Dungeon we opted for a Combination ticket giving us priority entry to Madame Tussauds. Well, priority entry definitely lies in the eye of the beholder. We still had to wait for an hour outside even though we got there around 10 am. When we finally got in it was so crowded that we wouldn´t have gotten any pictures if we would have been nice people all the time. Without a bit of impudence there´s just nothing going in there.

I think we got some pretty funny pictures out of it and we really had fun thinking of creative poses rather than just taking good old selfies with everyone. We were even able to get a picture with Edward Pattinson - that´s what a girl behind us actually said. The highlight, of course, was One Direction right in the second room. Nele is probably one of the biggest Directioners you have ever seen and she couldn´t stop smiling for a good while afterwards, it was really cute. For me it was like after One Direction it only got worse. We then had already taken the picture Nele made us really excited for and there was nothing major coming our way. Additionally, we had very little sleep the night before and got really annoyed at how crowded it was. Still we took some more pictures as we couldn´t let this opportunity pass us.

One thing I would like to mention is the figure of Adolf Hitler. I know that in Madame Tussauds Berlin they have to have a barrier around him because people  would destroy him otherwise. In London, however, there were even people posing with him doing the Nazi salute. As I am German I felt quite offended by that. I think it´s horrible to show a sign like that with all that has happened because of this one man.

Afterwards, there was the possibility of going into a scary room much like the London Dungeon but we happily passed that. Then a little trip into London´s history and lastly the Marvel 4D experience which were actually a lot of fun. The only thing that really bothered me was how crowded it was everywhere. I do know that many tourists want to see all of it but there must be a way to not have it overcrowded like that, it´s just really annoying. Also with the people everyone really wants to see like One Direction, the Queen or Barack Obama, there is a long line as people working for Madame Tussauds are taking pictures there. You then have to pay to actually get those pictures. I think that´s just another way to get money for them even though they already make enough money with the tickets. I don´t really like that.

All in all, I think it was still worth going. I have never been to a Madame Tussauds so I was happy to be there and see all of it. I was amazed by the figures themselves. They must have been a lof of work. I don´t think I would visit any other Madame Tussauds again if there wasn´t anyone in there that I was dying to `meet´. I think you should have been in there once in your lifetime.
